Computational Pathology Symposium (CP)

Sunday, 13 September 2026

The Computational Pathology Symposium is a unique event, bringing together an international interdisciplinary community of pathologists, scientists and industry representatives in this rapidly developing area. We focus on the major technological developments in artificial intelligence (such as large foundation models and vision-language models), as well as the practical side of computational pathology research.

This year, the program features a dedicated Mythbusters session, addressing common misconceptions, overhyped claims, and persistent myths around AI in pathology.

The event will include distinguished senior speakers as well as the latest work from up-and-coming researchers, selected abstracts in digital pathology and AI, and a lively panel discussion where you can put your questions to the experts.

Organisers of the symposium:

  • Darren Treanor, United Kingdom
  • Jeroen van der Laak, the Netherlands
  • Frédérique Meeuwsen, the Netherlands
  • Luca Di Tommaso, Italy (Digital and Computational Pathology WG Chair)
  • Sara Oliveira, the Netherlands (Digital and Computational Pathology WG Co-Chair)
